The Lord used Bishop Luna Thomas and Reverend Walter Thomas as the earthly architects of the Boynton Beach City Mission Church. Worker Luna Thomas and her husband Deacon Thomas labored at the Cheesefield City Mission Church for 22 years starting in 1960. While at Cheesefield the work grew and flourished tremendously due to their hard work and tireless efforts. Simultaneously, Worker Luna Thomas also pastored the work at Windsor Castle City Mission Church for 3 years until someone was assigned to the church.

 In1982 Worker Luna Thomas and Deacon Walter Thomas immigrated to the United States where they worshipped with the late Reverend Smellie at the Miami City Mission Church. Worker Luna Thomas was ordained as a Light Brigade in 1984 by our late Overseer Bishop Delrose Walters. Then in 1987 Light Brigade Luna Thomas and Deacon Walter Thomas founded the Boynton Beach City Mission Church. In 1997 Light Brigade Luna Thomas and Deacon Walter Thomas were both ordained as Reverends. In 2004 Reverend Luna Thomas was called by the Lord to a higher role in ministry as she was ordained as Bishop Luna Thomas and was designated as one of the Deputy Overseer by our late Overseer Bishop Delrose Walters.

Boynton Beach City Mission has flourished in the Lord under the leadership of Bishop Luna Thomas and her husband Rev. Walter Thomas. The Lord provided Bishop and Reverend Thomas with a group of people who have a mind to work and build. In 2018 the under the unction and direction of the Lord Bishop Thomas prayerfully selected and announced Rev. David Johnson as the new Host Pastor of the Boynton Beach City Mission. Rev. David Johnson pastors, with a dynamic team, under the care of Bishop Luna Thomas who is the Senior Pastor. Boynton Beach City Mission is still moving from strength to strength as the Lord remains the Chief Commander and our banner, Jehovah Nissi.
